This Milonga series will include live music and dance performances by local and international Tango guests.
Enjoy dancing in the beautiful Victorian concert hall with smooth wooden floor and outdoor patio! Come to listen and watch or join in the dance. All ages are welcome!
About the musicians:
Crystie Schumm, piano, fell in love with Tango when taking CMC Faculty Scott O’Day’s CMC Tango Ensemble class in 2017. Since then she has travelled to Buenos Aires to study with many Tango piano masters. Crystie is currently a pianist, vocalist and arranger in La Orquesta Fusion Tango L.O.F.T, where she met Hereen.
Hereen Oh, violin, started dancing Tango in 2011 in NYC, then studied in BsAs. As a violinist, she joined Scott O’Day’s CMC Tango Ensemble class and studied in the Tango Musician Program at Reed College, Portland. Hereen is currently a member of Cuarteto Ramilonga, performing with the group at Milongas around the Bay Area.
Crystie and Hereen formed the duo Las Tangueras Ruidosas (the Noisy Tangueras) in early 2019.
