UPDATE:

It is with the deepest regret we let you know that the Alejandro Ziegler Quartet will not be able to complete their 5th USA tour this year, including their scheduled appearance at the CMC Mission Milonga on Saturday October 8.

Although Alejandro was able to enter into Texas, USA from Buenos Aires a week ago, the crossing from Canada to USA was not allowed by US immigration officials. He has legal work visas, but apparently there was a technical issue that his lawyer did not inform him of.

This is a very stressful situation for Alejandro. He already lost a ton of money and his health is suffering from all the stress.

This dramatic emergency situation affects all the hosts and organizer of the 2016 NorCal Tour and we apologize profoundly for the inconvenience. We are asking the Tango community to support us and come out as planned to the Opening Night of the CMC Mission Milonga on Saturday Oct 8.

We are lucky to have found a beautiful replacement with local tango ensemble: Redwood Tango Trio - www.redwoodtango.com

Thank you for your patience.

Astro Rocco, Violin
Jesus Leguizamon, Bandoneon
Alfonso Santini, Double bass
Alejandro Ziegler, Piano, Guitar, Conductor

Since 2008 "Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet" has developed its own unique style of tango music reflecting both innovation and tradition.

Inspired by the golden age tango orchestras, the ensemble creates an evolutionary synthesis of traditional tango and contemporary feeling. Alejandro Ziegler's own compositions come alive through surprising arrangements as well as intimate interplay.

On stage the communication between the four musicians is allowing, expressive, playful and tight. They flirt with a chamber musical expression without ever leaving the unpredictable spontaneity within popular music and improvisation. Various grooves and different ornaments reveal the members personal playing styles.

With their special sound, a unique mix of tango, improvisation and romanticism, the musicians of the Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet have gained territory all over the world.
Their focused performances are complete acoustic, dynamic, and musical masterpieces one should never miss!

Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet performs in Buenos Aires on a regular basis and played in many important festivals around the world such us: Portland Tango Festival (Portland), Granada Tango Festival (Spain), Vancouver Tango Festival (Canada), Luzern Tango Festival (Switzerland), Eindhoven Tango Festival (Netherlands), St. Petersburg Tango Festival (Russia), Cyprus Tango Festival (Cyprus), Istanbul Tango Week (Turkey), and Popcorn Festival (World Music Festival in Götebourg, Sweden), to mention a few.
